The Team

Morgan Strickland, Voice & Acting

Morgan is the co-founder and artistic director of SOPAC Ottawa.  She is a professional classical soprano who has devoted much of her professional practice to performance education and pedagogy. Specializing in both Classical and Musical Theatre styles, Morgan's holistic approach to singing ensures students of all ages learn the ins and outs of healthy singing production while having fun.   In addition to maintaining a full-time teaching studio, Morgan is an associate voice instructor for Carleton University (Ottawa, ON).  For more info about Morgan, please see ABOUT US!

Chris Santillán, Pianist & Coach

Chris is a freelance music director, pianist and educator from Gatineau, Québec. His professional career in the theatre world began at twenty-three when he served as associate music director for the final North American tour of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia! Since then, he has worked on several productions in the National Capital Region with various local companies, including the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society, 9th Hour Theatre Company and the Carleton Musical Theatre Society. Most recently, Chris was the conductor and vocal supervisor for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s productions of We Will Rock You and Mamma Mia!


An active educator, Chris has taught at several theatre schools in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, including the Ottawa School of Speech and Drama, Stagecraft Children’s Theatre School, Ottawa Children’s Theatre and The Acting Company. He is passionate about promoting music education, and is very excited to be joining the SOPAC summer camp team this year! Chris is a graduate of the Bachelor of Music program at Carleton University and is currently a master’s candidate in music and music education at Columbia University’s Teachers College in New York City, where he is further pursuing his interests in performance, research and pedagogy.
